This 1971 Westfalia T2A combi to be restored is sold customs cleared with its 846A form and its FFVE certificate. This van is visible in our workshop today for a road test and an in-depth inspection.
Once is not custom, we offer you this T2A westy camper as a catering base. It is therefore offered without Technical Inspection as it is.
It is a 1971 model combi which has the advantage of having original front disc brakes with servo-brake assistance. This brings comfort in terms of safety.
This van has the complete Westfalia furniture. The furniture needs a refresh and a repair of the upholstery, in particular the front seat and the sofa bed.
We are selling this Van volkswagen in drivable condition. Its Type 1 engine of 1600 cubic centimeters double intake works perfectly. Its brakes provide effective braking without imbalance. All the electrical parts are operational (headlight, battery charge, turn signal, dashboard lights, etc…).
The canvas of the rising roof is recent in very good condition. The roof rises without difficulty, it is perfectly operational. BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires equip this combi. These 4 original size tires are in very good condition.
The restoration of this Combi to be restored Westfalia mainly concerns the lower part of the bodywork, where the rust is doing its job. But she was stopped in time. So she didn’t interfere deeply. Only the exterior sheet metal needs to be changed.
Little work to be expected compared to a combi well corroded by rust and whose mechanics are out of order. It is a restoration project that will not present any surprises by inflating the amount of work.
A mechanical overhaul will be essential to obtain the technical control, but without major difficulties.
